i was running down the chilly streets of pittsburgh, passing buildings,streetsigns and stoplights when i approached the parking lot of a local mall. my usual route to get to St. Francis de sales high school or as many of my friends like to call it, prison. anyways, not looking where i was going SLAM! i had fallen right on my behind, my books flying out of my hands, scattering everywhere. angered by this, i began to gather and stack my books into a messy pile and the shadow of a man about 6"2 covered me. i heard the voice of a man with an accent that seemed familiar to me saying "sorry, are you alright?"
"yes,im fine." i said with a shy,somewhat aggrevated tone. he starts to help me gather my books. our hands touch and our eyes meet. sudenly i feel my heart begin to race. Was i dreaming? it was, it was...Evgeni Malkin, centre of the pittsburgh penguins! i had liked him almost 2 years.
"where you go in such hurry?" he says in broken english. it took me a couple seconds to process what he had said. i was too busy staring, admiring his facial features.
"oh!" i said snapping myself out of the gawking daze.
"school, im running late." one of the three men standing behind him said. it was RYAN MALONE!
"sure!" i said anxiously. normally i wouldnt accept a ride from a stranger but in this case I was obviously willing to make an acception. Gonchar,Malone and Stall hopped in the backseat, i was in passenger. I was in utter shock! i couldnt help but stare at malkin,admiring his looks. when the car finally stopped i hopped out and began to walk off and said "thank you, oh, and good luck against boston tomorrow." they laughed but seemed shocked that i knew and that I was actually a fan. As i walked off i heard Geno say "whats your name?" i blushed "yvette."
he smiled and slowly drove off. Malone punched his arm playfully and said "geno, shes like 16." stall cut him off and said "its ok dude she was cute but we'll probly never see her again anyway."
Geno muttered "eh, your probly right."

chapter 1:
It was 6:00a.m when i woke up to the piercing sound of my alarm clock. i dashed out of my bed, down the hall racing to the bathroom. i knew i had to be quick before my two older brothers could get to it. i was running late for school, again.slamming the door shut on the way in,i brushed my teeth and began to brush through my long brunette locks. my moms voice echoed from down stairs saying "yvette! your late for school." she was right. So i ran into my room,put on my knee highs,navy pullover sweater,loafers,and plaid skirt.(which i got in trouble for everyday of my life because it was too short.) oh come on, you know you'd try to make those rediculous catholic school uniforms cuter too. Racing down the stairs into the fifty degree weather, I couldn't help but think this was going to be another miserable school day of my 16 year old existence....,little did i know,i thought wrong.
